Does anyone else find the lack of sponsorship in the Truck series unsettling? I mean, we have the defending champion in Sheldon Creed racing in a plain white car and running up front with an empty hood. It’s an issue that’s been going on for years, but now even high-running cars are having issues.
Marcus Lemonis, the CEO of Camping World, Good Sam, and Gander has put a lot of money into the Truck series over the last ten years. Some NASCAR officials would probably say he’s a key figure in keeping the Truck series running. He has now stepped up in an even bigger way to help these teams that are struggling with sponsorship.
This is a major deal for a lot of these teams, and while it might not be a long-term solution, it is absolutely better than nothing. Many teams have already hit up Mr. Lemonis and will be running the Camping World colors in Las Vegas on Friday.
